  Purchased a textbook not long ago from the bookstore, i noticed a tear on multiple pages throughout the book, so i went back to the bookstore to receive a refund for the book as it was a defective product. After speaking to numerous staff members and waiting for the 'manager' for 30 minutes I was told a refund would not be accepted, even though on the counter it says they refund defective books and/or books that were not in saleable condition (which i think a book with torn pages would not be purchased by someone). The service received there was terrible and even when I asked to speak to the manager I was not allowed to, I was accused of not checking the 1500 page book in its entirety to check for torn pages even though I shouldn't have to as it was a brand new product, bottom line the bookstore didn't adhere to one of the clear policies they themselves set out, I would not recommend this place to any students as you'd be better off buying textbooks and other products online for cheaper prices and much less hassle!
